Jeff Koons, an American artist originally from Pennsylvania, is amongst the most established artists in the contemporary art world today. Following his initial solo exhibition in 1980, his works have been displayed globally in major galleries and institutions. Koons' unique style of work is distinguishable, to say the least, and he is massively recognised for his distinctive balloon animal sculptures with mirror-finish surfaces. Koons' works have sold for substantial amounts of money and have made significant history; his stainless-steel Rabbit sculpture became the most expensive work of art by a living artist ever sold at auction. The oversized rabbit sold at Christie's in 2019 for a mind-blowing $91.1 million.
