Hans Hartung

Hans Hartung, the German French artist, was one of the most renowned post-war artists, known for his innovative and substantial approach to abstraction. Hartung's unconventional use of brooms, spray guns and branches from olive trees, which grew at his home in France, conducted his creations which showcased his freedom of gesture and translated the inexpressible onto canvas. The artist's works are displayed worldwide in significant major cities such as New York, London, Paris and Amsterdam. In 2019, Hartung's "T 1950-3" sold at Sotheby's for an incredible £852,500.
